I'm trying the BD demo, I have no instruction book. I never played Divine Divinity, but I do have a couple years of diablo experience hehe
I'm playing pc=survivor/dk=warrior. I found a club, and later a sword for my pc.

1) I can't score ANY hits on anything with either weapon using a left-click attack (wielding only one weapon at a time).
I can sometimes get a hit with the whirlwind skill which I put on RMB. I survived for a while by leading enemies back to the DK and letting him kill them. I eventually learned how to switch to the DK and control him, but then I couldn't get any hits with the LMB attack using the DK! I've got to be doing something wrong...

2) The review I read said the music was great. Music? All I hear is 4 notes, over and over again. Dum, Dum, de Dum. Its almost like my soundcard has crashed and is repeating a loop. Except that speach works, so its not that. Please tell me this is demo-only music. Reminds me of when I was learning to play the horn in 3rd grade. Well sorry for the complaint, the game seems promising so far.

Thanks.

There are separate forums for Beyond Divinity and Divine Divinity.

You can control both characters at the same time. The tab key brings up the party menu where you can 'select all' or you can use the bottom right icon under the portraits, or IIRC click on one character portrait to be the leader and control click on the other to follow. The full game has selection hotkeys.

Accuracy is effected primarily by agility and partly by survival. Check the durability of the weapon, and make sure it is not broke.

The demo has 3 songs in ogg format in one of the folders (I think '..\Beyond Divinity Demo\Wav\music'), which you can check out. The title song and cell block area music was changed in the release game. The songs from the demo were likely used in a different location, but I don't recall them well enough to recognize them from the full game, at least in areas I have been so far.

Welcome to the forum.

welcome!

I replied to some other thread apparently I wrote the same as Raze ( I think, accuracy (check inventory) and music is just demo (ALOT MORE, trust me, its cool!)) and said welcome to the forum! sort of weird.

anways

hope you hang around, have fun!

Thanks!

Sorry I got confused which forum I was on -- I started on BD then looked on DD in case there was info there and forgot to switch back before posting. Maybe a mod will move the thread.

Thanks Lewis. Because I had this on the wrong forum, I couldn't find the thread tonight when I went looking for the answer. So I posted again, then played with the search some more and found both threads. So I deleted the newer/duplicate one, probably while you were typing.

I've learned that typing your userid in the "term to search for" field doesn't work, and if you type multiple words in there its automatically a phrase.

Hmm, *now* I see the pull-down on the search page for phrase/userid/AND etc. I knew I needed new glasses, but I didn't know I was asleep at the keyboard the other night.
