I don't know if this is the place to post feedback on BG3, but I thought I'd share my input after about 100 hours of playing.

* Get a "mark several items" tickbox choice!! laugh I find now that this is my biggest issue by far (having to single-click every item.)

* Edge-panning and camera focus. I think I had this same issue with D:OS 2. I love edge-panning and feel it's the natural way to explore a game like this, but after every dialogue or interaction, the camera locks back on my character, and I can't use the mouse for edge-panning until I "unlock" the camera with WASD or similar. A bit annoying, but maybe there's a reason for this.

* Too many empty containers. I realize it may be "realistic" that many of the containers you search turn out to be empty, but it kinda lowers your spirit when 90% of the containers are empty. Maybe make less interactive containers instead? Or maybe I'm wrong.

* Having to click twice for casting spells with no target. It feels unnecessary and counterintuitive to have to target spells that can only target yourself. Is this something that was present in the D:OS games as well? Maybe there's a reason for it, but it annoys me (champagne problems).

* Party management in camp. Maybe this will implemented in the full game, but it's a bit annoying to have to talk to every party member to dismiss and re-hire another one, maybe just add a panel where you can choose your party formation (maybe this even exists but isn't active in the EA). Also, maybe make it possible to send items to people who aren't in your party while at camp, you're pretty close to the other guys.

* Movement on ladders: It feels a bit ridiculous that it cost zero action points to climb up a 20 meter high ladder, while moving two steps to the side does? :p Maybe this is a compromise, so characters won't get stuck in ladders mid-combat. Although, that would be pretty cool, being able to shoot people off of ladders.

* The waiting times during combat (plotting next move) should preferrably be shortened. I don't know if this has to do with my processor or something, but sometimes the combats become almost unbearably slow.

* Backstab: The backstab feature in this game feels very boring and meaningless, maybe this is because of adopting to DnD rules, but I much preferred the D:OS way, where Wolgraff could sneak behind them in the backstab cone and do insane damage laugh All hail Wolgraff!!

* Pause between lines in NPC dialogue: When two NPC's have overhead dialogues, I feel that the pause between line and answer often is too long. I often wonder if the dialogue is over, or if they have a comeback line, and it doesn't feel natural.

* Hit percents: Sometimes I can get two different hit percents on the same target depending or where I put the pointer? And seemingly with no difference in movement or such. Bug?

* Vendor sorting: Could we have a specific screen for things we've sold, and one with the vendor's original items? I feel I get the same clotter as in D:OS where all my crappy items covering endless slots in the vendor list.

* Camera in the Underdark: Seems a bit broken, although somewhat cool bugs smile Characters walking seemingly on air and my main char walking seemingly under the ground. The camera in the game is a pretty big problem overall, though I guess it's always hard to get good camera with this "fake 3D" and vertical zooming.

All in all, a complete lovely game, of course, and keep the great work up! laugh /Gustav in Sweden

+100. Totally agree. Even about how good the game is. Every criticism I post is really just a, "Please fix this cause it is annoying" thing. Otherwise, love the game.

One of my latest posts is Simplify Inventory. We need limits on inventory, more gold, less crap to sell, and an auto search feature.

Please!
I'm so tired of hearing all the companions being pouty when I leave them behind.
Yes, I'm sure I want you to stay behind Astarion.

I also agree with the rest of your points Putin.

Thanks for the nice words! I was also just reminded that the journal is kinda broken, you can't scroll-wheel through it and it's almost impossible to see the log entries at the bottom. But I guess this wasn't news to anyone. As you say, lovely game, lots of D:OS in it, but I don't think they will change the core of the game at this point, removing turn-based combat etc. I kinda love the turn-based, although the combat in original Baldur's Gate was great as well. But in order to implement and highlight the DnD rules, I guess turn-based makes the mechanics much more visible and more RPG'ey, as with the dice rolls. Can be annoying at times, and I sure save/load spam a gazillion times to try every little different outcome, but in all it's really cool to have real dice rolls smile

I guess they've chosen some middle way with the inventory/weight thing; in every RPG there's the decision whether you should have a weight limit, which is usually just an annoyance (like in Bethesda games), or just leave it out completely. Or have some strange middle way like in Dragon Age where you have a set number of slots, regardless how much the items weigh smile (I was kinda ok with that in DAO, though). The "Send to Camp" option pretty much removes the weight limit completely, just that you have to through a number of right clicks to send stuff away ^^ But maybe it's a good compromise, I don't know. But I read about the "Barrel spam" problem, and of course the carrying limits in all games are ridiculous. Carrying around 10 great swords shouldn't be that easy either.

Keep up the great work and the great fandom! smile

+1 for the edge panning, double click for personal spells seems like a safety feature more than anything else. If you don't want to cast the spell you can right click off to the side and cancel the action.

Yes, the safety mode thing has crossed my mind smile Not a big deal anyway.

Have to add, this auto-targeting of barrels is a bit weird, just managed to launch some super explosion while looting food from crates behind Dror Ragzlin xP Kinda asks for trouble.

Another good thing would be to add a "mark items" tick box in inventory so you can choose several items at once to send to camp or to party members. And as someone else said, having keys move automatically to a particular, collected spot may be nice; it's cool that each key is unique and has a description, but maybe a key chain or similar would be good.
