In the room where Halsin is there's two levers, one that frees the wolves and the other one frees him. Of course, that one doesn't matter because if you get too close to that one a cutscene starts and always ends with either you helping Halsin kill the goblins or you helping the goblins. Thing is, you can shoot arrows or throw objects at the levers. I did this. I shot an arrow to the lever which pulled it and freed Halsin... and he decided to attack me, and the goblins joined my side. This was both funny and weird considering the whole room (including the wolves) saw me how I literally shot the arrow that freed bear Halsin.

I don't know this is being planned, but I think that even if you don't go through the whole conversation that determines if you're an ally or an enemy situations just like this one should have a similar outcome, especially because the dialogue is the same and no goblin reacts to you freeing Halsin. Maybe adding another dialogue if you solve events this way would be a nice touch, but at least not excluding your allegiance by seeing or not a cutscene when, in the end, the choice is the same.
