I have played through DOS2 more times than any other game. I have felt the invitation to replay: creating new character builds, trying new talents, playing as different origin characters (or having them as companions).
What I have enjoyed most about DOS2 is how the difficulty can be increased in a rewarding way: meaning that, when confronted with a familiar -- but now harder -- problem, I am challenged to find a new solution. Few games allow for so much innovation. DOS2 does, due in part to its deep systems: character stats, skills, crafting, etc.
I have had a lot of fun playing through as a solo character (non-Lone Wolf). I wasn't sure if I would be able to complete the game. This forced me to learn a lot more about things I hadn't previously explored much: talents, for example -- also statuses, and combat strategy.
I've completed two such playthroughs and am in the middle of a third. It has been a deeply satisfying experience.
If you haven't yet tried it, I highly recommend it!
Thank you, Larian, for offering so much replayability, and fun!
