I've been inspired to complete the game using as few long rests as possible. I encourage you all to do the same. Post your score here.

Rules:

1. You must complete all of the games content, some at specific levels. See below for details.
2. You must have one character in your party who's class or subclass is dependent on long rests.
3. You must have two other characters in your party who's class or subclass is dependent on short or long rests.
4. No save scumming. You may use skill checks to resolve encounters, but you must live with the results.
5. No barrelmancy.

To do list:
You must finish the main story line. Resolve the conflict between the goblins and the druid grove, one way or another. Then, resolve the conflict between the duergar and myconids.
You must complete the crypt. Must be done at level 2.
You must confront the harpies. Must be done at level 2 or 3.
You must confront auntie Ethel and escape.
You must kill the gnolls.
You must complete Karlach's quest line.
You must confront the githyanki patrol.
You must kill the beholder.
You must kill the minotaurs.
You must reach the top of the arcane tower.

If anyone feels that the to do list or rules should be modified, feel free to add your input.

What class/subclass are "long-short rest dependant" ?
(Details about point 2-3)

What does confront auntie etel and escape mean ?
Killing her in her lair ? I don't know much about that quest, I usually kill her in her house.

Yes, full custom character team allowed, so long as the same team could be built with the current companions. That way, people with custom character parties don't have an edge over those who don't know how or don't want to have a custom party.
Long rest dependent:
Wizard, cleric, ranger, druid, arcane trickster, eldritch knight.
Short rest dependent:
Warlock, battle master.

Confront means trigger the fight in her lair. If you manage to kill her in her living room, that is acceptable, but if auntie Ethel escapes into her lair, you gotta go down there. From there, you must trigger the fight. You can take her deal at the end if you want.

Rule 6. If there is a chair in the room, one of your party members must spend the encounter sitting in it.
