As I'm not a D&D 5E player, a lot of the stuff was new to me from 2E used back in BG1&2.
One of the things that had me boggled for a while was weapon tags and what they meant.
The obvious ones:
- 2-handed
- Versatile (mainly given away by the rest of the description that it can be used in one or two hands and giving different damage)
The not so obvious ones:
- Light (dual wield without proficiency)
- Finesse (dex based weapon modifier)
I was scratching my head quite a bit when Shadowheart didn't get her +hit modifier from a Light weapon (she comes with a mace) but a Finesse weapon did the trick.
I think it will help new players a lot to match their character with the right weapon if this was highlighted in the tooltips or tutorial in some way.
