Didn't see anything about that being fixed in the patch notes, did anyone else catch anything about that?

Ya didn't see anything about that on the notes, also wondering if concentration is still weak and breaks easily.

I searched for "wizard", "cleric" and "spell" and couldn't find any mention of this. Even though this was the big gameplay and feature patch.

They honestly can't think it's a good change and leave it in.

A lot of work went into this patch though, changing what spells a wizard can learn could still be in the roadmap.

Yeah, I really, really hope they fix this - along with everyone being able to cast anything from scrolls.

This is one of "bugs" or "homebrew" (since we really dont know right now wich one it is laugh ) ...
That seem compareable with barellmancy to me. O_o

I mean, i get why you hate it ... i dont like it either, to be honest ...
But ... therefore i dont use it, and im quite happy. O_o

As far as i know, NPCs dont use spells between classes, so ... this is all in our own hands, isnt it?

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown

I have not played D&D since 3.5 so I was a little shocked that Wizards can learn any spell. Is this part of the 5th Ed. rules? If so that makes them very versatile and powerful.

They can't in 5e.
Like every other classes they have a spell list that is not (yet ?) implemented in BG3.

Non one but Larian know if it's intended or not.

While Larian has not specifically addressed this we believe the issue is that the spell tags have not been added yet because we are in EA but that they will be at some point. Its likely just not a huge priority yet.

Perhaps this is just because we are in EA and they want to maximize the chance to find bugs related to spell casting so not adding limitations right now ?

But I agree it should be present in the final release.

No, it's because Larian's BG3 devs say so (and WotC is ok with whatever Larian says).

+1

I really hope they fix this. Wizards already get to be one of if not the most powerful characters in the game. They do not need such a massive buff.
