Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - General Just a little nitpick about looting/"stealing".

I feel that it is a little bit weird that after i have slain an entire courtyard full of goblins, the game still considers it "stealing" when i am looting their bodies, i mean sure yeah technically it is, but why only some enemies and not all then?.
As i said, just a small nitpick, maybe someone has an explanation why this is happening.

It's just Larian's way of reminding you that these nice goblins invited you to their dinner party, let you play with their chicken, offered you some nice roast dwarf, and how did you repay their hospitality? You naughty naughty criminal you!

It's because they could have been friendly with you, depending on your actions. And other goblins allied with them that you haven't aggroed yet, may still be friendly with you. If one of them was to see you looting their friends corpses, it could turn them against you.

In patch 4 after totally wiping the goblin camp Volo would come up and accuse me of stealing... so I had to kill him.
