Well, here is an issue: I'd played with my friend several times and companion's skript cutscene ALWAYS started only with the game host, but not with player which actually took this character as a companion (seriously, we'd replayed hours of gameplay a couple of times because my friend wanted his character to be bitten by Astarion, but I was the host, so that was impossible, even when I sent her my save file, so she could launch the game - I was still considered the host).
It acts right with that scenes, where player first speak or interract with companion (I mean, right before the scene, like when you talk with Gale on the camp party and then go with him), but other scenes which run non-depending of players movements (like Astarion bite or the demon which comes in the camp) always take only the game host's character.
We also played different characters on different patchs and the situation was the same in all game sessions, so I don't think it's actually a bug, but it deffinetly ruins roleplay in some way.

I think, it will be cool if companions always act with player who took them, otherwise it upsets the players who have no opportunity to interact with their chosen companions and have to watch host doing it.

Thank you for your attention, and all the best for your team from your faithful fans! rpg001 rpg002

I have only ever played in multi-player and only once was the host. In my experience the companions will only talk to the player character they are linked to, otherwise you get a stock "I'm too busy to talk to you" response. If in camp with one of the other, non-linked companions anyone should be able to talk to them.

I think Astarion tends to go for the host, but not certain on that. It could be whoever found him/spoke with him?

A concern I have for multilayer that I've never seen answered or discussed is how relationship triggers will work. This seems to be a huge feature in this game, but doesn't seem to work in the same way for multiplayer.

Not in "bite-scene", unfortintly frown

We'd replayed session from the very beginning, forcing Astarion to follow and talk only with my friend (she found him first, and found boar then herself) - the scene still plays only with the host's character. And, as I said, with different player's characters on different patchs the situation was the same. It seems that it works in the same way with all the scenes which start when characters go to sleep and doesn't depend from player's in-game decisions.

It's not actually such a big problem, but i hope it still can be solved somehow.

Hi. I apologize for my English - it's not my native language. Faced in the game with the same problem as you. Played as a host with a girlfriend. We played 40 hours and only reached the romance with Astarion. The girlfriend has a dialogue with him and they agreed on a night together. We go to bed for a long rest and suddenly Astarion comes to me, not to her. It was unexpected and unpleasant. And I wanted to know if you were able to find out in almost a year - is this a bug or the original idea of the Larians? Or some other topics with a solution to this problem. It's not very pleasant to play like this from the social side of roleplaying.
