Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Constant crashes

Every time I try to finish the tutorial, the game crashes in the cutscene before loading the beach. I've tried all the normal recommended steps - verifying game files, setting graphics to lowest settings, disabling background applications, running as admin, switching to DirectX. Nothing works and I'm super frustrated. I love the game, but in this state - it's completely unplayable for me.

Any other suggestions?

It didn't crash for me, but my computer had some trouble with all the animations since you finish the tutorial and start on the beach in my patch 5 playthrough. I suggest saving the game right after finishing the tutorial (before connecting the tentacles), exiting the game completely, and load it again... it worked better for me that way
I guess they might be having some memory management issue in patch 5
