I know ive seen Marcus somewhere.... but where?i've looked through the poor area, but no luck, so before i search the entire game, maybe you could tell me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

also, the dwarven bread inn, underneath, where the fight ring is, but at the end of the hallway behind the locked door...there is a chemists set and intestines, are they good for anything, or just decor?

Finally, (this may sound stupid) what is the difference between restoration and elixer? or , what exactly does elixer do?

The [color:"pink"]Elixer[/color] increases resistances.

Marcus is in Ars Magicana, one of the two merchants standing by the the southern path.

There is no use for chemist ingredients / knives, just decor.

Elixirs raise your resistances temporarily. See Restoration potions and maybe ALCHEMY SPOILER THREAD

Is there a way to open bottles? I'm curious of the 'Oddity' is something special or not.

No, you can not open bottles, or do anything with the 'oddity'.
