There is a lot of UI buttons that are just too damn small and hard to tell what they do. Theyre the same colour, they are really tiny so you cant see the icon in the button. Its so strange to have all those buttons side by side like that too. Not sure what the solution would be but making them more distinguishable would help.

Making them bigger, different colours and perhaps sorting them appropriately.

I would gladly do without minimap at all, by the way.
I stress this because I loath minimaps in most games and it doesn't seem like there's an option to hide it, currently.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN

Do you mean the UI buttons arond the minimap or such buttons as weapon-toggle? Or both?

I agree this should be optional. I would be interested in seeing a cartographer background and an option to only have a map at all if that person is with the party. Emphasis on optional though.

I will be honest, I don’t find minimap helpful at all. I fail to make use of it in navigation - no matter if I set it to turn or not, I just can’t make use of it. I imagine benefit of it might be, again, coop - like pinging things for coope players.

+1 said this a few times, would be great if this got a tab to hide like the combat log.

Please just remove this awefull, useless and hard to understand mini map, add a small compass eventually and create an intuitive and beautifull UI for the most important menu of the game.

I really dont understanad what is so "hard to udnerstand" on that minimap ...
Red dots are enemies, yellow dots are neutrals, green dots are friends, blue dots is your group ... is that hard? O_o

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown

The minimap does not help at all to understand the map (including the verticality, where you can walk and where you can't) and in which direction you should walk to reach something.

Nothing on it show you the direction your camera is pointing at so if the yellow dot is north-east on the minimap, you don't know where to move to walk north east.

There's an option so the map turn according to your camera but it does not help so much because your point of view is still not shown on the map.

If you only need dots a smaller and more elegant compass is enough.
IMO this minimap is totally useless.

I believe i allways take direction by that pointy side of blue dots ...
You surely notice they are not round, but nore like seeds ... the pointy side is where that character is looking. I dunno, to me its perfectly working. O_o

Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever looked at the mini map.

What purpose does it serve? If I want to see the map I will look at the actual map. Why do we even have a mini map?

Yeah with our characters running like chickens and unable to turn without moving it's really easy to understand.

I think it even takes more time to understand where to go on the minimap than on the normal map...

I use the minimap. Agreed that the button icons are not helpful, so I need to wait for the tooltip to come up to know which does what.
But I find it helpful. Without the minimap I would never have found the deep gnome at the mill for instance. In my current patch 5 play he was not tied to the mill but standing motionless inside the structure. I only found him because of the yellow lozenge on the minimap.
So seeing the living things from a distance (escpecially the red ones) is quite useful.
