Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Shadowheart despawning on the ravaged beach

So I'm having a problem where after the Nautiloid crash, upon walking up to Shadowheart as she's banging on the doors, the screen fades to black as if initiating the cutscene needed to recruit her and then pops back to the top down view with Shadowheart jogging off into the distance and eventually despawning. Anyone else having this issue? Any fixes?

I saved her on the nautiloid on this game, I do remember meeting her later in the grove if I failed my interactions with her though, before they added more content to her. Maybe she will be there instead, Im doing another run with a friend soon, ill test to see if it replicates. If you did save her on the nautiloid, check the beach first.

Yeah she's on the beach banging at the door to the ruins, when I go to interact with her she just flees and despawns. I did save her on the Nautiloid and she survived the final fight.

After i fought the Commander Zahlk and Shadowheart was downed by him i was surprised to get the Artefact from Shadowheart and those new interactions with it.
Very nice.
So it just came to my mind. For how long can you let a downed character lie on the ground until it is declared dead forever.
Maybe theres room for an exploit of reviving a downed Character later, to change Narative or other shenannigans.

I found her floating in the water, I couldn't reach her. So I verified files, and restarted from scratch. lol

Adding to the list.

I saved Shadowheart on the ship. I slew Commander Zhalik without suffering losses. I arrived at the beach and Shadowheart is not at the door. She is not in the water.


How is this game more broken now than when Early Access was first launched?
