Hi all,

This has probably been asked a million times, but I did a quick search and didn't find what I was looking for and I'm lazy. xD

What happens once you've reached cap? Is XP gain stored for when the next content is released, or are you just doing a bunch of stuff and wasting that potential XP gain?

When a new patch is released, all previous saves are unplayable if you update. Exp past cap is dead in void!

Yeah, given this is Early Access, every major patch pretty much invalidates all prior saves. They're still doing major shifts and shakes in mechanics and story, so there's no reason to store XP.

Damn... k. I guess my playthrough workflow will be to play out with a new class each time (till I run out), go through all the content... then just trash that toon and wait for the next patch to make a new toon...

I usually rush to level 4 without killing any boss. When lvl 4 I go to every boss and make a seperate save for all of them. That way I can repeat those fights as many times as I want to test new strategies, play them with friends, etc. I also update those saves if I get new gears, but usually I beat the boss I made a save for before heading to the next one.

When there is a new patch I put them in a rar file in case I ever wanna play previous versions. Dont think I will but w-e xD

It is very much a test branch, not your more traditional live-service, expanding Early Access release. It is unlikely we will get more levels before release, unless there is something Larian want's feedback on.
