Remember the Chamber of Evaluation? There are 2 small rooms leading from it, right?
Take the SE one => key on table for SE exit door. Caution: Shadow creature there.

The switches in this room lead to an item, you need to help the mirror prisoner - but just a subquest. Split your chars: when A pulls a lever, B can go into his south room, where a locked cupboard is. When B pulls a lever, A can go in her/his south room and get a key for a rubber duck. B can then open the cupboard with this key.

The levers steer the south doors, that's all and close these south doors, as soon as A/B leaves their north doors.. As long as A/B stay in their lever rooms, they can access the south ones easily.

I'm still confused. I've failed the Academy tests. I manipulated the levers to get the key. I gave the rubber duck to the ghost. Now what?!

Any help is appreciated.

Hm, you should have 2 keys => one from the imp ghost and one from the table there, right? The table key opens the door to the SE exit.

The imp key, opened a cupboard, so you could get a diamond ring => quest item. But you need another item to fulfill this subquest => star amulet, do you have it?

Which test did you fail?

I don't think I have the Star Amulet!

go back to the Endurance test room and do what I wrote in the screenshot - and then search in the new room (east)

Hmmm. I failed the academy tests too - I couldn't work out which teleporters to stand on, even though I knew the answers (well ... they are in the 'Conversation' lists

I plodded on for a short while - found a pick axe, which when armed breaks the damaged wall. I wasn't ready for the onslaught and was instantly wiped out - but, I want to go back and find out how to tell which teleporter has the right answer - if possible? Maybe it's all part of the plot that one shouldn't stand on the correct teleporter?

Maybe there are three ways through - passing the tests (anyone done that? - I passed one - the Faith test, more by luck than jusgement!), the pickaxe thru the wall route, and the keys route mentioned in this thread?

Thank heavens I have a save at the right spot to try all methods, if they really are available ...

Anyone else done that? Any benefits of one method over the others?

Yes, I passed all tests - but it only makes a difference in XP and reward items. I have to take the servant way, the same as you do. You can't make a test the 2nd time.

Pickaxe/wall is NOT the exit, but gives an item you need for the "mirror" sub quest.

Thanks Kiya. I shall go back and persevere (reload) until I have mastered the three tests. Then I'll pickaxe for that other quest.

It's sometimes difficult for old codgers like me (70+) to think like you young 'uns, so we get into a bit of a lather at times.

Ah well ... it beats going totally senile...
