I defeated Auntie Ethel and she was Frightened (from menacing blow). In the dialogue that unfolded, once choice is both the girl and power (with an intimidate option). Since she was frightened, I guess that she was at disadvantage. The roll check was a twenty and when I took this choice two dice were rolled (I guess again because she was frightened). I rolled both a 9 and 19 (i.e. I would pass the roll with modifiers), but the game took the lower roll rather than the higher roll. I don't see how that option is reasonably possible if the lower roll is always taken. At that level of difficulty, it shouldn't even be a choice.
