Brew should be properly named and not listed as a Mossy Myconid. It will make life much easier for players.

Likewise, the reward items should not all be coded as one's that are not the player's possession. I was led to the room and then flagged for stealing the Shadow of Menzobenarean.

I had this problem also, I kept looking for Brew!

Then when I tried to go into the place where the loot was I got flagged and had to murder all the stupid mushrooms.

He used to have its own name, don’t think this change was intended.

Ditto, noticed that last night. Also, if you miss following him the first time, you won't open the 'door' to the quests rewards. I had to load a save to sort it, hide and - for good measure - use Pass without Trace to get the quest reward without turning the colony aggro.

Interestingly enough, I seem to remember he used to be.

EDIT- Yep, pointed by others as well.

Also, taking the items in the cave (after you got permission to get them as a reward) should not be flagged as stealing. But that's probably just a bug.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN
