Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Serious Lagging after Patch 5

Hi all,

Since my game updated to Patch 5, I've noticed a serious amount of lag to the point the game is nearly unplayable. The issue really flares up whenever I load a save and during cutscenes. My game worked perfectly up until Patch 5, leaving me wondering exactly what's up. I do have mods installed, but that's never affected it before.

Has anyone else encountered this? If so, are there any recommended fixes?

I've run into a similar problem although I've seen it in just gameplay (Cant even make it through the prologue, uhhg). The game is running fine then suddenly everything starts moving like a slideshow, it's been a while since I played but this is definitely a new bug. No idea how to fix it though




I'll include my pc info for the devs in case its useful, hopefully we get a fix soon.
