But Womble didn't you know it was a giant typo in the presidents briefing:
Saddam Hussein has A bomb
but what supposed to be in it was
Saddam Hussein has a bomb.

DUMB [nocando] PRESDEBNT! Gosh, the US will spend the next 50 years either trying to fix this all, or else take over the world, making the world horrible.

It's this type of stuff that makes me embarrassed to be American and thinking of moving to another country.

just being an American citizen and living here makes it so that many people in the World hate me before they know me. Even some people here on the forum.

just being an American citizen and living here makes it so that many people in the World hate me before they know me. Even some people here on the forum. Are you sure its because you're American? Its not like its advertised under your location. But, even if, so what? I'm an American, and proud of it. And while I often disagree with the current president, I'm intelligent enough to realize that the liberal propaganda machine is in full swing. This is, after all, an election year. For instance: the Iraqi prisoner abuse. You hear about it every day and every night, non stop. Granted, it most definitely was abuse but, as far as I know, nobody was killed, maimed, or wounded. Only their pride suffered. Then an American civilian is filmed being beheaded by masked Iraqis and its in the news for what? Two days? I'd rather live here than any where else in the world (except maybe New Zealand, its just so purty). You don't like me cause I'm an American? Tough [nocando]! Pacifism = weakness. Pacifism, much like communism, is a superb ideal, but only works if EVERYONE agrees to it. It only takes one greedy, powerhungry person to take advantage of it and ruin it for everyone! These are just my opinions, but they are grounded in reality. Let the flames begin!

the liberal propaganda machine. Theire is one? seems to me theire is only the republican propaganda machine (FOX) while the liberal meadia is banned to cable like HBO. Lucky Air America has been started (love "the O Franken Factor", read the book Lies and the liying liar who tell them A fair and balanced look at the right) and then theire are shows like the daily show that give some balance to it. But seems to me that republican propaganda machine is a monster while liberal media is just a litle weak kid (david vs goliath). Don't get me wrong I have nothing against Americans just a bit with the current president. I would have loved to see John Mccain (Republican, War hero, Senator) had won in the primairies 4 years ago. Hell I'm shure that if he would run as a 3rd party canidate he would win the election.
BTW: what do you think about the Micheal Moore movie Farenheit 9/11?

Morbo, you can't be serious! Fox is the only Republican television media (by the way, I'm not Republican, just a conservative independent). CNN, MSNBC, etc., etc, are all liberal leaning, not to mention every major newspaper in the country. And isn't it all cable? And I guess your "adversary" always seems bigger than it is. John McCain probably would make a great pres.
Haven't seen M. Moore's movie, but I'm not impressed by him, personally. While I know its his movie, putting his ugly [nocando] on the cover was a sure way to prevent sales!

CNN MSNBC Liberal!!! give me a break. Those are neutral stations IMHO. In the 2000 election Al Gore got slauthered by CNN and MSNBC. CNN and MSNBC are just money hungry stations they go were the exitement is.
I'll give an example: John Kerry trew his medal away after the Vietnam war. All media jumped on that. Don't you find it ironic while the currnt president never got to vietnam?
2nd exaple: Don't you find it odd while in the midst of the WMD scandal the media was more interested in the kobe brian trial and that of marthe stuwart? While in Britain tough questions were beeing asked by reporters to theire prime minister. I found it quite ironic when Fox called the BBC liberal media.

Al Gore got slaughtered because he was Al Gore!
Your first example: Kerry got caught in yet another flip-flop. He said he threw away his medals long ago, and then later on said they were someone else's medals, and then changed it to some of his "ribbons" and someone's medals. Kerry brought that coverage on himself! It had nothing to do with Bush. That was Kerry's way of trying to divert the heat.
Your second example: I believe you are incorrect. While the media did divert some attention to Kobe and Martha, it wasn't that much, and we're still in the midst of the WMD scandal! And the whole "Its Bush's Fault" movement is bogus, everyone in Washington believed the same intelligence including congress. In my opinion, Congress is just as guilty!
Regardless, I tire of arguing politics. I should never have started.

But sometimes I wish theire were more Richard Clarke in the world. 20 years of service and then beeing attacked because he wrote a book that was not as critical of the administration as the media made it. Administrations come and go but civil servants remain. They are the fundation of the whole political system. So it is a real shame that he got attacked by the hawks. Why would any one want start beeing a civil servant when that happens while you could be making more money in private sector. I got a chill down my spine when he said. It's not a question of morality, it's a question of politics Cynical as it might be it is the truth.

At our school, we had a "discussing circle" of politically interested Pupils. It was the "Politischer Arbeitskreis" (PAK). It's height was reached when we organised a discission with local politicians (from out town) about the school system and the coming election, then. I'm still proud to have been a member of that.
