Hello m8ts.

I`m glad, that with early acces we can talk about way the game goes, nad I would be happy too doo my part in development of that uni. Thing is, I`m a fan of BG, and I want box edition (if there`s colectors one, I`m on it).
I`w readed FAQu, but nothing answered my question. If I buy early acces, I`l need too buy next copy too get box, or I would get some discount maby? I`s a serious matter, because I`m not going to pay twice, and I would realy whant too coop in geting this game as good as it can be on early.

If you want a collector's edition with fancy bells and whistles, having EA won't help you with that, I'm fairly certain. By buying the game early, you gain access to the EA and the ability to participate now, but that's what you've bought - the base game. Any special fancy collectors anything will almost certainly be something different and separate.

Still the base product is a game, and buying early access to participate in geting final product best it can, and nother copy too get collectors box is doubel paying.

So the decision is if Larian whants My (and others alike) money and help with early acces, or buying it before box edition cames is a weast of money..

I`m new in forum. Is ther any hope someone form studio would coment?

I wouldn't necessarily say that buying the EA is a weast of money, but the EA is not for me and so I will wait until the quality stamp of approval is on the released version. Game bugs are just too frustrating, I do not want to do QA.

Right. I`m buying "the base game". Thing is I whant to help geting on all of giches, and suggest way the game should go, before "it`s done". Second thing is, that if I`m spending my time on helping producers with that, it does not mean I whant to buy second copy of a "base game", only to get box.

It is, fi Your shure, You want physical copy, and You would need to byu a nother copy of a game, only to get box.

I think Larian could sympli gieve option for preorders, to buy collectors with discount, and right to youse only one copy of game.

I am not sure if I would want the box edition. When BG II came out, the box was the only option. I still have those original disks, with their intoxicating chemical aroma. There must have been some sort of perfume in the ink ... BioWare could have put that in a bottle and it would have been competition for "Obsession". I do like the idea of owning the software on a disk, and having a printed manual, rather than relying on cloud storage and internet connections. But then there is the issue of numerous game updates, so you end up downloading GB-sized patches online over and over. Ugh, I do not like that at all, but everyone seems to accept that as normal now because Microsoft does it. I'd still be happy with WIN XP except that web browsers don't support it anymore. I guess it is the "benefit" of Agile software development philosophy ... there is no defined end to it, ever, sort of like a D&D deity which has a lot of followers for a while, but then gradually fades to just a small fanatic cult, and then from there it recedes into the annals of history. Patch #182 coming soon ...

The only possibility I can see that might be what you're looking for would be if they offered a "collector's edition upgrade" for Ea testers as the final launch date of the game approached. This would give you any CE perks and extra, and you would pay the difference in price, at best ideal.

This isn't something that Larian have yet commented on, and I doubt they will until such editions are actually available to be purchased, but I feel it's unlikely to be a thing, I'm sorry to say.

I'm sceptical as to whether they will even do a hard launch of any description, to be completely honest.

There is absolutely no reward incentive in buying the game early, you get an unfinished buggy game as a beta tester at full price at the risk. Hopefully Larian gives some symbolic trinket as thanks for the support from the community on full release. Like a fancy looking armor on new game or something else cosmetic.

I believe this is exactly corect and most important question ...
Since (corect me if im wrong) last time i remember Swen was asked this, he said that there are no plans for any colector edition so far.

Its, you're basically buying Alpha. Even Cyberpunk slashed their prices like 2 month after launch. Quite certain it happens with this too. You want to take full advantage of the launch.

They could give something for EAers, VIP Forum, Battle Generator to design battles and battles etc. Even some cool Character to play, even for one Chapter. When you start to play Chapter 2, you find him/her, after a while it leaves. What if it was Celeb? Like Keanu in Cyberpunk.
