When approaching the Blue Boar inn, a drunkard took 5000 gold coins from me! Any way I can get these back?

don't think so, that's alos the ONLY place where gold can be stolen from you if I remember correctly. never mind though, you'll get loads of cash later in the game

If you walk on the road a woman would appraoch you and tell you of her husband the thief then when he appraoch you will will get the option to tell him to go away. And no there is no way to get back your gold

I talked to the thief and he gave my money back and ran away ....

Ok Ok there seems to be a way I actually first talked to the wife and when he talk to me I had the option to chase him away. On the forum you learn something new everyday <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thief stole money - I didn't notice it - wife approached and informed me - I went back to him and had the speech option to get the money back.
