I've started my first game in a while again, and somebody joined my game during character creation. I was surprised that this was even possible, I thought I had started a singleplayer campaign. But anyway, at no point during character creation or afterwards was there an option to communicate with the other person. I had no idea what was going on and who they were. Just being able to send text back and forth would help so much with livening up the multiplayer sessions and clearing up all sorts of issues that arise during the game.
