Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Embelish Items?

I have a weapon and a chain locket with charm ability. Sword has one and locket has two. When I left click on items the little box appears but the slot(s) you would put the charms in is X'd out. If I click on the gold or red charm the box disappears. Is this the way it's supposed to be? I remember in Divine D that the same box appeared but you could put the charm in them.

it doesnt matter about the X.. just drag the crystal/charm over 1 of the X's (try each one in turn) and they will set it place.

you dont need a skill to add charms anymore (unlike divine divinity)

have you equiped the items your trying to drag the charm into?

if so...

left click once on charmable item in equipment window

charm window opens

open inventory

select charm page in inventory

left click & drag charm to slot in charm window

The charm slots are not closed, they just have the same graphics as DD's unavailable slots. Move the charm pane so it is not overlapping the inventory, and drag and drop charms into it.
Embellish just boosts an items trade value; there is no Enchant Weapon skill required in BD.
