I will be up front here - my NVIDIA video card is old enough that it stopped getting driver support so I always get the warning pop up in the Larian launcher that my drivers are out of date. That being said, I was always able to play before. Now the Vulkan version is completely broken - some of the textures flicker between a normal state and complete blackness. The characters are mostly just blackness. The DX 11 version is better, but there are still problems with flickering textures. Also the title screen has a couple of columns that display things at a different level of brightness than the rest of the screen. I''m seeing other people reporting issues with the graphics now so hopefully this isn't a case of me being locked out of the game from now on.

Suggestions that I buy a new video card will be met with suggestions as to where to shove that original suggestion.

I guess you are struck by the end of the Kepler architecture support by Nvidia, same for me - but I have found a setting that allows to reduce this annoying transparent black bars at the screen border to an acceptable minimum:
Using "AMD FSR 1.0: Ultra Quality" in the video settings reduces this to just a thin line on the right side. And, actually, graphics quality is pretty good smile with this setting. And I still get 30-40 FPS, allowing for some other nice graphics settings as God rays or Bloom.

One hint: switching the "AMD FSR 1.0" always reduced the frame rate at first (even switching to "Performance" setting), so I have had to restart the game completely, then it was working pretty fine.

Hope that suggestion helps a bit - for me it helped to play around with the graphic settings to optimize between FPS and atmosphere ...
