I think this could be a really cool place to get lots of diverse flavor into the game.

For example, I'm playing a Cleric of Ilmater currently. Would be fun to hear him say some Ilmater-themed phrases while he's walking around, stuff like:

"For the broken god"
"I cannot rest while there are still those who suffer"
"Endure, and in enduring grow strong" (anyone? :P)

This sounds like some fun writing work, does it not!?

What would your character say? I know my character really wants to know "if the gods are watching" him :P

As long as this was an optional setting, perhaps with frequency toggles like the annoying point and click voice has. Otherwise I can see this as being rather immersion breaking.

My characters tend to be silent especially in hostile areas. One may mumble or quietly swear a bit in Infernal on occasion but not when silence is a necessity.
