No offense to Larian, but I really find the Battlefields tedious! I think it was kind of a good idea, but I'm not sure they really took the time to develop it carefully. It all seems a little slapped together.

Personally I get more excited picking out socks than slogging through those randomly generated dungeons!

It doesn't help that they're usually several levels lower then you by the time you can reach them either. :P

Indeed. I've given up entirely on doing the battlefields. I might get just one key so i can at the very least trade with the merchants, but the quests really aren't worth it.

Personally, I wish the BG monsters would scale to your character level average, but with a static modifier dependant on the BG level and dungeon and dungeon floor.

The Battlefields do contain some of the best items that I have found in the game though. Almost everything both of my characters are using at the end of the game came from the battlefields.

Post-game battlefields are pretty nasty though. I can't do anything in those. All those disease clouds really irritate me.

Yeah those are a bitch. I usually pause at the very moment I see a red dot on my mini map and launch a poly morph cloud. Best way of dealing with a disease cloud is to prevent it

I personally enjoy BF very much. Whenever I get bored with the main plot of the game I go in the BF and get some fresh air. I also use them when a merchant is far away from me and I am in need of some portions or when I have to sell items. It is very convenient. The quests may be simple but they give you the opportunity to gain some xp points in case you have missed some not crucial from the main plot. Plus I like very much the item hunt. I have found some great items in there. I am glad there are there. But this is of course my personal opinion.
