So glowing gems in the Underdark produce Flourite Shards when you destroy them. Wyll's warlock blast can destroy them in 1-2 hits (20hp) because for some reason it doe extra damage? So it is very easy to quickly bag hundreds of shards in minutes. I estimate by the time we leave the EA part of the Underdark, Wyll has collected around 40,000-50,000 gold in shards. Each stack of 99 shards weighs less than 2lbs. This hardly seems balanced. I know some of you will say, "Then just ignore them" but there are literal money trees growing everywhere in the Underdark and it is hard to just leave them laying around. Is there some kind of money sink in the city of Baldur's Gate because as it stands I'm expecting to arrive with Wyll, The Fresh Prince of Flourite and possibly hundreds of thousands worth in gold coin.

They are vulnerable to Force damage ... wich means any Force damage (wich Eldrich Blast is) is doubled for them.
Many materials is ... walls, statues, petrified persons, crystals, etc. wink

Since patch 6 not all of them showing that vulnerability when you inspect them tho. :-/

As for gold amount you get from their shards ...
I never managed to get more than aproximately 2000g ... its not bad, but nothing earthsaking i would say.

Yeah, I did this too the time I played a Warlock long enough to reach the understark. It's certainly enriching.

The reason Äldritch Bläst does extra damage though is because it doed Förce damage and the crystals are vulnerable to that.

I feel there should be less of them also as it takes time away from the plot making it more of a grind for money, I'd prefer more loot on enemies and less shattering for gold.

Indeed farming them rapidly becomes boring. For this reason I'm fine leaving them as is and letting folks decide how they want to play.

Once I realized I could pick pocket Withers at camp without repercussion I stopped caring about money.

About a 800-1000 gold coins every time you go to sleep.

can't complain about having an ATM in camp

Probably won't make it to the final production though
