I love the look of this one, but right now they are working on it really hard, and I am glad of that and all, but with my bandwidth is terrible, and I live in and area where only one choice in ISP, (Phone company with a monopoly on this county). I mean On a good day with a tail wind I get like a little less that 1 GIG and Hour.

The updates would mean I would hardly ever get to play it much right now, so I will probably just pretty much wait for the completed game, as much as I know I would have fun playing it, the Updates would just irritate me to much I am afraid.

But I am truly glad that Larian Studios are doing this.. I am sure they will do a good job. I have enjoyed both of the DOS titles I have.

I may have solved My problem.

I carried my system to a friends home who has and awesome Download speed, and in about 1 and a half hours there I had the game.

Would have taken me on my ISP almost 5 days if I was lucky. (Considering I on my ISP get on a good day with a tail wind only get a little less than a Gig and Hour. I also pay more than my friend does for his ISP.( Monopoly control like they have is trulty a terrible thing.))

I also bought the game from Gog. smile

Now I can run it from the .exe file, and never have to log onto Gog. As best I can tell Gog does not force Updates down my throat like Steam. So I can continue to play the game until I am ready to update it.

I think It is very nice that Gog allows me to play the game I payed for the way I truly want. I am for sure one of those I hate steam people now, for sure!

If you want to be extra offline you can skip using GOG Galaxy alltogether - just login to GOG through the browser, find the game in your library and you can download off-line installer. Still GOG Galaxy is probably easier to use for updates.

Luckily for you, major updates to BG3 don't happen frequently - every 2 months at best - that said once they drop you will most likely have to redownload most of the game due to scope of changes.

Yeah I understand the Like or want the update's for sure. But for me I mean a 10 gig patch will be like 10 to 11 hours or more to download. (Thank you for taking time to teach me something on the Gog web purchasing.)

I will probably put the updating off until I can carry my system over to my Friends Home and get it.

I sort of wish game patches were like they use to be, I remember you could download patches in the back ground, and install them when you got ready. Now a lot of places force Patches on you, and sometimes the patches cause more trouble than good.

I remember I use to wait and read the feed back on patches a lot of times before I committed to them.
