I have just gone into the act 3 battlefields and now it won't let me leave. Is this a problem that was fixed with 1.44? I currently have 1.43 and with my incredibly slow connection I want to try and avoid downloading the new one for a while if possible.

Yes, this was solved in 1.44 - BUT! do you have a save before entering the BF? If not, you get a "corrupt game" warning message, you can carry on, but I don't know if this inflicts the game.

My BF tries =>
Saved my 1.42 into 1.44 before entering the BF => I can enter and exit
Took my 1.42 without saving and entered BF in 1.44 => I can enter and exit

Saving in the BF at 1.42 and copying it into 1.44 without saving into 1.44 then => I get the error message my savegame may be corrupt, but I could exit and am ingame now.

Being in the BF at 1.42 and saving it into 1.44 before I exit => same result with error message. I could exit though.

I do have a save before entering the battlefields but it was at the end of act 2, before I'd got quite a lot of my good items. Thanks for the help, I'll download 1.44, and see if it works with my latest save. Glad i don't pay by the minute for internet anymore. 24 megs? Thats gonna take a while!

I think, it's worthwile downloading it - so far I consider this the best patch.

Please, watch out for strange item names in the BF - I recall gamers having a problem with this. BTW, I could enter and leave the BF in act 3 with the BF catacomb key. And my experiments were then done in Act 4 with exactly this save. (I always save extra, before entering there, just out of caution).
