Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Suggestions & Feedback Any new races mentioned to be introduced?

I am curious if some other offshoots of racial choice from Players handbook might get introduced in EA? Such as Elf sub races (Shadar-Kai, Eladrin, and sea elf), Gnome (forest, rock, and Svirfneblin), Dwarf (Duergar), Dragonborn (other than sorcerer class), Halfling (ghostwise), Half-Orcs, and more Tiefling variants?

If there will be a new race for EA, I bet it will be gnomes, because they are already in the game and maybe the Duergar as subrace. All the elven and halfling subraces from PHB are already in the game.

Im affraid we dont get litteraly any race during EA ...

For one, there is no reason for Larian, bcs there is not much to test on them ...
The only thing we could give feedback about is their look (wich, concidering that HUGE topic about elves ... will stay the way it is no matter amount of feedback anyway) ...
Possibly their reactions to the world, or reactions of the world for them (wich, once again concidering that much shorter but several topics, talking about how weird it feels when people are completely fine that Lolthsworn Drow is walking among them ... will probably also stay the way it is).
Maybe we could provide feedback for Dragonborn breathweapon ... but since we dislike AoE effects for Cantrips ... and we dislike AoE effects on Chromatic Orb ... and we dislike AoE effects on Elemental Arrows ... i bet that everyone should see that AoE effects for breathweapon would not be appreciated. :-/

For two, Swen litteraly told us in PFH for patch 5 (i believe?) that they plan to keep (some? ... not remembering the exact wording anymore) races hidden, so they have some surprise for us at full release.
I can quite understand this mindset, but on the other hand im kinda affraid that those races will be missing conciderable amount of suggested reactions. :-/

And i had in my mind third point ... but i forget it. :-/

I think the main races and most, if not all, sub race variants will eventually be added. Given the above post, there's possibly gonna be a few curveballs. I genuinely hope for Goblins (And if we are lucky, the Hobgoblins and/or Bugbears.) and Kobolds. Half-Orcs, Gnomes, and Dragonborn are almost certainly gonna be added eventually (And certain Sub-Races such as Duergar and Svirfneblin also have absurdly high chances of being added as well.).
