Playing a Druid again and still wonder why my Dwarf decides to take on the form of an underdark cow. I remember having ranted about this sometime ago but when fighting Nettie and saw her transform into a boar.
That seems somehow way more fitting for a dwarven druid.

If you go and make a druid from an underdark race, a Rothé might be fitting too. so why not either have some standard shapes and one racial form or, if creating a wildshape for every race, let us at least
choose one form from a list of options when getting new shapes.

I'm tired of mooing laugh

I think Druid should get some kind of "study animal" option to remember new forms ...
For example i would like my Wood Elf to transform into Squirel, instead of Cat. smile

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown
Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are! frown

Yea, that too. I like my cats black instead of white. That's what i mean, the shape you take should fit to the character, at least a bit. Even in there are wildcats in woods, a squirrel would make way more sense to a wood elf.
Same goes for the boar for the dwarf instead of an underdark cow (duergar may be an exeption).

Same goes for your Wood Elf. What reason would there be for a Rothé. An eccentric one who has studied the underdark may come to that but i would like a more traditional approach if i do not have the option to choose.
Choosing from a list would be way better though. That way you can decide for yourself what forms your Druid wants to learn. A stealthy one could forego bearform or somesuch.

Great idea and a fabulous way to differentiate races (and sub-races) and add more flavour, otherwise things can feel a little generic and indistinct. More choices, the better.
