HI

First post - I love the game, it's the best RPG I've played since the old BG and IWD games. Although there are missing cinematics and dialogue choices it really feels like a real world with real people and real history where your choices make a real impact. Well done Larian.

I would really like characters to be able to have mounts or use classes like cavalier/knight.

I think these add a lot to the game both in terms of combat options and flavour. It's weird to be some kind of warrior in a medieval esque world and not have a trusty steed.

I dont want to be a neigh-sayer but I have a feeling they implemented the waypoint system as a sort of replacement for mounts/getting around faster.
Who knows, maybe act 2 or 3 are so massive we might need/get them!

This ... and map being clearny shrinked to shorten distances. :-/

Nah, sory but i cant see horses in this game being usefull. :-/

Hmm, maybe the horse was collected by the Illithids and given a Tadpole too. It's now been uplifted to sentience and is on an epic quest to save itself and prevent the Absolute from bringing all beasts of burden under it's dominion.

More seriously, the map is just too small, at least what we've seen so far and given we have fast travel already.

No, not recently. I can make some guesses though...

Mindflayers can turn almost anything they think might be useful, a Mindwitness has shown up in the comic, and I'm sure there'll be a Brainstealer Dragon at some point - because it's Larian, and it'll be fun!
I'd like to meet an Urophion too, one we can feed an enemy to and then chat with.

Sometimes Mindflayers have resdiual memories of their victims, so a MF that has a dim recollection of "wanting a pony" might act out on that impulse. And 'flayers riding brain-eating tentacle-headed horses is cool anyway.

At first, I didn't think the idea of a halfmade game would be much fun, but it's lovely to see it unfold in real-time and the amount of support they are giving.

Even if horses aren't needed to get around, try running around like a dnd character in 20 - 40kgs of armour for any length of time. Even if you can keep it up, you'll wish you were on a horse!
