So I was after a kinda emo, vampish look for my Tav... and selected a slightly odd colour for a human in Character Creation that was exactly what I was looking for (left).

Unfortunately, the only time I get to see the proper look is in Level Up... during the game she has this clownish pink lipstick (right). And no it's not just the lighting of this scene, I'm several hours in now and it's just the same, if not worse in some regions. It's annoying me so much I think I might need to start again. She looks even more terrible with some of the goofy expressions.

This drove me nuts in Dragon Age Inquisition, I don't know how many times I redid the prologue because Character Creation was so misleading and my character looked tacky in-game. I thought those days were behind us!

Pink lips bothers me aswell ...
It looks especialy bad with other skin collors .. like greenish for wood elves or githyanki.

Well, that's a bit annoying but she still looks good. I like her.

Hopefully this will be fixed on the way to the full release (whenever this is)

Glad I’m not the only one. The weird part is they obviously crafted lip colours that work well with skin tones in the Character Creator and then something got bungled.

I’m in awe of how great the less natural looking skin tones do look, they feel more believable and realistic than any other game I’ve seen. Like you can still get a hint of the blush and blood vessels underneath etc. It doesn’t just look like body paint.

My bet its that it is aplication of that new feature when your face can get dirty, beated or bloody ...
It seems like someone ben testing it with human skin, and kinda forgot that there are other less typical options.
