I check back from time to time to let the game development and I have noticed this...

The character reaction system...great move! I still have yet to meet an NPC I can truly connect to, but there have been no additions have there. I would still love to meet a female character that is polite, strong in character yet still in touch with their femininity. Finally, one that doesn't need to curse or get bitchy to make her self heard.
Range: It is still a problem. Upon investigation I stumbled across hearsay information that the developers "don't want players to get shot by npcs they can't see".
I am not sure what this means exactly. Solasta has implemented ranged combat to the letter of the RAW, which is why their Wizards are viable and not a liability.
Different terrain system altogether though.
Possible solution: a Venn diagram approach...If a target is within LOS AND within the RAW, THEN it is target-able. When my characters are on top of a building, they should be able to initiate a sneak attack round on anything within sight (with advantage or disadvantage). Again! A first person toggle would sure be really really nice! Any way, there are no problems...only solutions, and "can't do it" aint cuttin' it.
These two are the biggest issues outstanding.
What epic story do you know of that you can't connect to the characters?With Solasta, there were 4 voices and four characters ( 2 male and 2 female). I was OK with 3/4, and by the time the story was done, male voice 2 grew on me just fine (100% satisfied).
Outworld, I found 2 companions that I connected to (You can only bring 2...so 100% satisfied).
Torment, BG1, BG2, KOTOR1, KOTOR2, Mass Effect, others...100% satisfied.
BG3....crickets chirp...thinks...Wyll is OK and very useful (he may grow on me more). Gale interesting, but failed the cut. Lae'zel..interesting (the bitch I tolerate, cuz she is like a lost child in our world and vital to the story..and useful).
Sooo...0% I really connect to. Again I realize there have been no new additions, just re-voicing a major concern, given the fact that I am not that difficult to please and not alone.
Last on this point...have we made a romance off switch yet. Last time I played, there was a party at the camp. Everything that moved (Including the toad Lae'zel, whom I barely ever agreed with) tried to have sex with me :O. Seriously, I hid from the bear!

If I wanted an RPG porn game I would load up Skyrim with Lovers Lab mods. Not my thing, but we have probably all stumbled across a teaser video while trying to find a content mod (or whatever) and chuckled at the humor of it...."Behold the Dragon-born cums". 100% waste of time and resources. Leave it to the "Digital pimps".
Not as vital but important:
Modding: Mod Makers are constantly trying to make Mods that emulate the RAW but can't.
I see comments like "I can't currently implement this feature, so I added a fixed modifier". Re-rolling a single die for triple advantage, for example..ie Elvin Accuracy a standard rule set feat.
This is a VERY common issue.
It occurs to me that the engine is based on another game entirely...cough...and perhaps the coders need to add some new
"classes" or methods" or whatever it is you programmers do to adapt this engine to...uhm the game you are developing...blink blink...please excuse the sarcasm, but "You could of had a V8"...the commercial where the guy slaps his head?...never mind.
