I'm a newbie to all this DND stuff. I played BG3, which made me interested in the Forgotten Realm and started to dig knowledge about it.
So when I'm doing the research, I notice that some spells or class features can be useful in an actual DND campaign, but maybe not useful in BG3.
I wonder that are there any ways to change/twist these spells/traits to make them work in BG3, and also stay as close as their original functions. I'm curious to hear people's ideas/opinions about them.
Example:
Great Old One warlock lv1 feature: Awakened Mind.
spells: Phantasmal Force, Sending, Clairvoyance.

And speaking for myself, it alone sounds interesting enough to even play it. laugh

Clairvoyance could in my honest opinion work exactly as described ...
IF Larian will implement regular fog of war. O_o
Otherwise, it would be fine if it could be used for overhearing quest related conversations between NPCs ... for example imagine Kagha talking to those ferets (or rats?) when she is in private of her room ... that would be cool way to make you suspicious about her, and start the investigating wich would expose her as a Shadow druid intiative. :3

Sending could in my honest opinion work once again quite simmilar.
For example when you are arested (there is plenty opourtunities for that, but lets take that one with Gut) it would be nice to have option to send message to rest of your group.
I can even imagine this spell to work as some kind of summonning spells for your curently inactive party members (simmilar to Lump's War Horn) ... that would be cool as hell! :3

And finaly ... Phantasmal Force.
This is the tricky one and im honestly curious about how will Larian deal with Illusion spells (and Wizard) since they are usualy limited only by users imagination ...
But i would say in most poor version possible ... "we" as a player dont need to actualy see the illusion itself ... i mean in description is litteraly said that only target perception is affected ... so if we simply get some dummy to see where the illusion stands ... and few possibilities (like: Luring illusion, Scary illusion, Non-transparent ilusion, etc.) ... it would probably be enough for me.
Still it would be nice to have option to create a bridge tho. laugh

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown
Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are! frown

Awakened Mind is much too complex to accurately implement for a single subclass of a single class. I like the suggestion making it a bit like a permanent 2nd-level Detect Thought spell. Make it a dialogue buff option that gives a bonus on Deception/Intimidation/Persuasion checks - but only if the NPC fails a Wisdom save. Give it the ability to distract similar to Minor Illusion (without visible illusion and only affecting one individual) - if the NPC fails a Wisdom save (one attempt only). Make it detect invisible/hidden enemies within 30 feet (only for Warlock).

I have an idea like this way: You craft an illusion that takes root in the mind of a creature that you can see within range. The target must make an Intelligence saving throw. On a failed save, you create a phantasmal illusion of yourself that is perceivable only to the target for the duration. This spell has no effect on undead or constructs. The target can use its action to examine the phantasm with an Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC. If the check succeeds, the target realizes that the phantasm is an illusion, and the spell ends.

While a target is affected by the spell, the target treats the phantasm as if it were real.
When you attack the target on your turn, the phantasm can deal 1d6 psychic damage to the target
