Nope, Alrik, I see this as my gamer weakness: getting too attached, wanting no strong change.
I think the designers had all the right to make the changes.
I remember Lands of Lore 3 => I played it until the last chapter started, then I stopped, was unable to continue. All old comrades (NSC) were dead or dying in a very cruel way, and I as a gamer could not help => too strong attachment again => uninstalled.
I know, these are only pixels, not really living persons - but even though I don't like changes - I think it's a quality of designers creating a world so lively that I (gamer) really develop emotions and lose myself in this world.
Same prob with Spellforce now: I love a female fighter NSC very much. As she is only lvl 14, she's far too weak and I do have stronger chars - but I can't part with her. I have given (maybe wasted) her the best armour, weapon, protection I could get for her - but I have to keep watching her closely and take her out of the hard combats at the moment. That's really not professional gaming, correct? I can't blame designers for my emotionality. Kiya
