but u have 2 give it credit for rekindling the interest of people in fantasy-based novels. that's the legacy Tolkien leaves. love for fantasy stories & adventures, without it we have no terry brookes, (name some more authors), dungeons & dragons, Divinity, RRR, ..... etc.

just like without akira kurosawa & his hidden fortress, there's no star wars from george lucas.

no jimi hendrix, no guitar heroes that we have now. & no jurak in purple haze.

no egypt = no concept of zero (zero my hero by lemonheads)
no chinese = no concept of money (opportunity by petshop boys)
no woman = no cry (ask bob marley why is it so)
