Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Ok - I got the slasher and I want to keep it

I found the slasher, but I do not want to give it up. It looks like something I would like to keep in my small arsenal. I need a bit more strength to weld it, but that will come soon. Should I give it up to those orcs? This does not seem like a good idea since we are at war with them. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

You'll just have an unsolved quest and lack a bit XP. Though the game is more designed for good swords later on. The decision is up to you.

umm...miss out on XPs.. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" />...unsolved quest on the books... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/suspicion.gif" alt="" />.. what looks like a really great weapon.. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />..decisions..decisions..I will have to ponder this for minutes to come before I decide.

Yeah, can't help you there <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> - I'd give the axe and then get the pretty little dagger from the mage's back room in Ars Magicana later on. Has good stats, normally.

Well I would do that, but I blew that quest as well. I was too involved in the poetry to take the opportunity to sack that back room when the mage came out to listen to the poetry. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/memad.gif" alt="" />

but... in ars magicana you can buy better sword (maybe one handed) if u are lucky. In the Adventure Game "Simon the Sorcerer" there exists something called "Milrith" . <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />

im pretty sure that, with any item, you can open your inventory, click and hold the item, drag it out to the ground, dont let go of the mouse button. make sure that you are still holding on to it, and then press ctrl+L(quick load). when the game loads you will have the item in your inventory AND on your mouse, voila, you made 2 of them. this will help you solve the quest and have a slasher for yourself.



i used to do this when i started playing DD. not sure if the patch fixed it.....let me know.

The poetry was beautiful <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />, but it was the reason I messed up getting that great item from the Mage backroom. But that is ok, since I messed up getting a lot of stuff in this game <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

what's so good about this item in the mage room?
