When i went riding last week (horse back) the poor little farm cat was such a mess! He had so many mats (he is not long haired...just must have run into some sap or something) We had to give him quite a haircut - right down to the skin. He looked quite pathetic...but he purred though the whole thing. Cutie little Clint... When i took care of the farm last year, he was my best friend, was always there to say hello (he talks a lot!) and followed me around. I wanted to take him home. KITTIES!

![[Linked Image]](http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~marlex/runes/Pirate.gif) i love it!!! sorry i haven't been around, now i have a kitty to play with. he is both angel and devil. angel when he comes up on the bed to cuddle, devil when as we are cuddling he grabs my arm with his paws and starts chewing on me. he was actually hanging from my arm while i tried to shake him of, happily chewing away. he also woke me up one morning by biting my feet. he never breaks skin though, and never uses his claws on us. at least, he hasn't yet.

I wont get a kitten again. They are very cute........but I just dont have the patience anymore. Id rather get a full grown kitty from an animal shelter to stop it from being put down (You can get plenty of kittens from shelters too, I know). Kittens are great but they are a lot of work and I just dont want to do it anymore. I know it sounds horrible but I want to come home to my full grown kitty and relax. The place I am in is a small flat and Im not allowed cats, but I am moving to a big new place soon with three bedrooms and a big yard . Im looking forward too it really. Ive been catless too long.

See, Arhu is happy about it

I prefer getting a kitten. There becomes a much stronger bond between the two of you. Mind you, I still miss Gwen a lot even though she was an adult when Alex and I got her.

Six months is still a kitten, they are almost grown but still silly
I agree the bond is better with a kitten, but all of us will be working and I dont want to leave a tiny cat alone in the house. For the houses sake as much for the kitten. I actually might get two cats, cats tend to get bored when all alone and at leat that way they will have a friend to play with when everyone is at work.

Ok Im coming out of left field here but this reminds me of the Rugrats episode where the dad is trying to build some fantastic new toy for the kids and they are having more fun with the cardboard box

Here are some pix of my cats. Corot , that's her name, was orphaned at 2 months old when her mom became roadkill. was tough for me & my sis 2 take care of her but it'sworth it as she's alive & well & in constant need of attention. guess that's an equivalent of 'hey mom, see what i can do!' yeah she hates her photos being taken, which explains her meowing unpleasantly at me taking her photo. after that, she's at my feet asking me 2 cuddle her. Congek is her bro's name. a loner & very gentle if u ever meet him, he's always in the bushes meditating(staring at something i'm sure i cannot see) or hunting. never the one who harrasses the female cats, always very polite & gives way 2 the younger ones when it comes 2 meal time. fyi, 'corot' is a type of delicacy in malaysia. 'congek' means crybaby as his voice(meow) is so sweet. oh yes, when i talk with my cats, i call them by their real names, meow(of varying nuances).
