I'm trying again with a melee character. It's a lot easier, and that just goes to prove how playing a mage-type can be unreasonably punishing. This reminds me of Arcanum, you know. Melee = good; magic = dead!

Is there gore in Lionheart, like it was in fallout2 ? I mean finishing animations and stuff? nope, not in the fullversion, maybe you can unlock it, but i haven't found something about this. are there tougher fights in the full game?
sure, the snakesbreeds, mages, the assasin masters ,the golems, elementals, scorpions etc. you'll encounter later in the game are realy hard to beat. sometimes you have to fight between traps and monsters, if the monster doesn't kill you, the trap does.

i don't know about you guys but as soon as i get out of the house i'm gonna go buy that game! i don't care what you all say if Black isle created it, it has to be good...and what can i say i'm a plot and graphics kinda person...but i also like long games....how long do you think it would take to beat it? I'm pretty good...yep, three things in a game i look for: graphics, plot, and longness.

Also note that none of the people who made Fallout 1 and 2, Planescape, Icewind Dale 1 and 2, are still in Blackisle: they left and formed several independant companies. And finally, not because a game was made by X, it means it's good. Take Tomb Raider, for example. And the graphics suck. Even Marian said that.

Careful now tact....the game has some excellent qualities...storyline for one. Battle is somewhat lacking but that can be bettered through updates. The graphics are generally good. The majik isnt that impressive at least at low levels but maybe it gets better I have never tried. The game is by no means terrible and if they update the combat system it could be excellent.

ug..i'll actually have to agree with you on this one...the graphics are ok...but i like can't even really see my character..i'm almost totally blind..one thing i hate in particular..is like in games like Baulder's Gate and Icewind dale you could make a command while the game was paused, you can't do that here, unless it's cueing it up at the top and i am not noticing. But maybe i won't buy this game at least not now...and you said black isle didn't create it..well that just sucks...i was awaiting a masterpiece that was similar to the Baulder's Gate saga...that game was the best...i don't care if they don't change anything...just the plot and some other things in for good measure and it would be a great game! And i get killed so easy in this game..that sux...i guess its cuz i always like to play mages. I guess i'll go get . hack mutation instead..i've put it off for too long...their both about the same price anyway...but just in case i didn't see it..are there any games out now like Baulder's Gate created by the same company? Besides the others i know.

Nero: yeah, different people have different tastes: me, for example, I like Crystal Method when Rolling Stone called it 'bunch of cheap techno'. Good to know you like the game.

@DATD: As to none of the people who created those games are still in BIS. That is not completely true. It's a long list and there still are several active in BIS at the moment who worked on some of these games.
BIS suffers from the fact that they are an Interplay company and they publish all RPGs licensed by Interplay. This includes the Baldurs Gate series. They were developed by Bioware but published by BIS and as things go, BIS had a large voice in the development of the game. As has been stated, Lionheart is a game not made by BIS in that sense, but they use the SPECIAL system of BIS and, again, BIS had a large say in the outcome of the game.
According to the rumors, BIS is now developing Fallout 3. This is the one that should do it for them. If that game falls short of its expectations (which are rather high) then it just might mean the end of BIS.
As to Bioware, they remain to be one of the top notch RPG creating companies. Their recent Knights of the Old Republic is again proof of that.

I don't think NWN turned out to be anything else then Bioware said it would. It was however hyped by many people and made into something it wasn't. It was intended as a PC replacement for P&P D&D games and as such it's a multiplayer game. It does a fairly good job in accomplishing that. The single player game that came with it was nothing more then a special form of the multiplayer game and was reasonable at best.

Is there a point you are trying to make? The links to Bioware and Black Isle, show only a subset of the games they made. And are you trying to say something with the screenies? Nice screenies though

Fallout? I have never heard of this Fallout. Does it look like Baulder's Gate? If it does...I'M GETTING IT!!! I give Baulder's Gate And even more importantly does it have a plot and good graphics AND a good battle system? If not, .hack mutation is looking pretty good right about now...
