@DATD: As to none of the people who created those games are still in BIS. That is not completely true. It's a long list and there still are several active in BIS at the moment who worked on some of these games.
BIS suffers from the fact that they are an Interplay company and they publish all RPGs licensed by Interplay. This includes the Baldurs Gate series. They were developed by Bioware but published by BIS and as things go, BIS had a large voice in the development of the game.
As has been stated, Lionheart is a game not made by BIS in that sense, but they use the SPECIAL system of BIS and, again, BIS had a large say in the outcome of the game.
According to the rumors, BIS is now developing Fallout 3. This is the one that should do it for them. If that game falls short of its expectations (which are rather high) then it just might mean the end of BIS.
As to Bioware, they remain to be one of the top notch RPG creating companies. Their recent Knights of the Old Republic is again proof of that.
