The blue light is pretty, but the fully black one just lacks everything (funny that). I much prefer the dim light.

DAD, would blue/yellow work for you? It fits with the colour scheme (not that it would be a big deal if any changes didn't). Personally, I don't have a problem with white/yellow unless I am really tired.

Maybe a different symbol altogether? I don't really like the black light bulb.

I said 'other', for yellow/blue. Blue/grey looks ok, but I think it would have the same problem as yellow/white.
