Actually... two Dutchmen. One to stand on a chair and hold the bulb. The other one to make the chair go round and round and round...

Sorry jvb. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

The tricky bit's getting them in there.

How many surealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

To be back on topic now, there is one fact evident, which is that white and yellow, could cause difficulty and eye strain for identification. We only hope at least that the white bulb is changed into any dim colour saying OFF because it really makes no sense having yellow and white that are both ON.

Still think Red & Green are the obvious choice.
P.S. Don't forget to vote on my poll on page 2 of this thread. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

I have just realised that colour by itself is not really the issue as much as dim and bright are.
Any two colours or even the same colour is fine if one was dimmed to 30% of the brightness of the first.

Dim Red then and bright Green , that'll be just dandy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

In the old forum, we had candle on and off, that was very clear. But that doesn't fit to this current design of the forum. Will think about something better than these bulbs, unless you guys come up with a cool idea <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
Indeed, changing the colors of the bulbs won't help that much, I think.

What about a closed envelope for no new posts, and a pen writing on paper for new posts. Not original i know, but it as clear as daylight.

How about an open scroll for new posts and a closed scroll for read posts? The size difference would be obvious.

Somehow, the [color:"red"]x doesn't do it for me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

This is what Viper ment.

And it's what I wanted to sugest too. How about [color:"orange"] NEW for new posts, and nothing... well, for nothing.
Or is that to simple?
