I had the same symptoms that JK explained, but I am a heavy smoker and I must clean the lens of my DVD ROM with pure ethyl alcohol and an ear cleaner aided by a jeweller’ s magnifier. I may swear to have seen a semi-opaque layer being dissolved away. Dry disk-cleaners are good for dusting off dust daily or every other day only.
I have no idea of the type of pollution available at JK.
