I am brand new to Divine Divinity. I just got it yesterday, and I am having a problem finding any information about death in Divine Divinity. When you get killed, is that just the end of your game and you have to start over, or is there a way to start back where you were. I am accustomed to Diablo where if you have a portal near, you basically can just go back to your body and get all your stuff. Is it the same with Divine Divinity? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi & welcome <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />
Just to add to what DvB said - save often!! - especially after long/hard fights or completing a quest, it can save you alot of grief!

Remember also to save after you have found nice items, it's not sure they are there next time you kill or open a chest.

one more thing, save before you identify an item because the stat can changed every time you load the game!so,save before you identity it so that you can choose the best stat!got it... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

save before u take a quest and finish the quest before u take another quest unless it is an long term quest. I had to restart 2 times because some stupid bug prevented me from completing the quest. First time i restarted i wasn about lvl 15 and second time i was lvl 27. In total 43 level. About 40 hours of playing went into rubbish bin <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Imagine how annoying is that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

Yes, but look on the bright side - 2nd time round you know what to expect, you can fight in wonderfully new & innovative ways that you didn't think of first time round & save time by not doing things you now know is unnecessary!

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/memad.gif" alt="" /> - you're right, very annoying. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
