I just hope that she informs some of us. I didn't follow the 800*600 topic because it didn't interest me, but now I know why it was closed. anyway, so sad that it's always kiya that is the victim. maybe she should just register with another username

Well I am up to it. I actually left on one stage when some other member started insulting me for standing up for the Larian team. I dont know ifsome of you could remember that thread. It was still on the old forums. But look again I am back. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Somehow I think I remember. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

she did say farewell, in 800x600, something about how 'certan individuals' were making unbarrable to be here or something like that.

kiya always puts her heart and soul into things she believes in. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
But that way she get hurt more (easely) too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

I too didn't checked the pixels topic after a few posts anymore (like so many other topics these days). But I can imagine what happened inthere.

It's not the first time she's upset about namecalling and other things that don't belong on this forum.
And I can only agree.

We got complimented on the forumspirit here. More than once.
Recently by the ppl from the ToTheGame site fi.
But that forumspirit is disapearing IMHO. More and more it's starting to look like other forums. With namecalling and a "I know more than you competitive attitude".

I do miss the old forum. And "old" members like Kej, Polgara, Soul, Dragon, Mslynx, lynkx, Hell, Nemisis, Alrik (remember his amount of posts on the old forum!!! A great achievement), kiya, ... and others (like Womble later on) posting regularly on different topics.
We used to have discussion topics too. But ppl read the posts from others and at least tried to understand the other point of view. Now every comment feels like a "I'm right so you must be wrong" comment.
I remember discussing religion related topics with Soul. The two of us couldn't be further apart when it comes to that. But I liked reading his posts and he showed me why he felt the way he does.
Or the war topic. I think faile will too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> She fell right into that when she joined IIRC.

Maybe some of you will say:
"It's just a forum, she shouldn't care so much."
But that's the way kiya is. And ppl should respect we're not all the same and respect ppls different feelings.
I'm a bit different and don't let it get to me like that.
But I also care. And I don't like it.
Lynn closed that topic. But she shouldn't be forced to do so. We should all be resonable and mature enough to not let it come to that.
I made some online freinds here. A lot of you may not care about online freinds. But behind that puter on the other side there's still a real life person.

I'm not having a go at all of you (including me). There are great ppl on this forum.
I just hope I made some ppl think about their attitude towards other members/posters.
This felt like a place I couldn't wait to check out after comming home from work. The only forum (the only thing)online I was still interested in. And not only becouse of <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />.
It doesn't anymore. I don't even read a lot of topics anymore.
Also ppl are more and more going on about what the forum should look like. Titles, colours, ...
On other forums they would tell you that if you don't like it, you should go look somewhere else. And probably ban you.
Lynn and the other Larians are doing a great job putting up with us. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
And please remember. This is the Larian <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />/ <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> forum.

Just had to get this of my chest.
Thank you all.

Well Seth you are right.
The forum is starting to change. Why cant it be like the old forums. Everyone was nice to each other and everone helped were they could. Now it is just " use the search option I dont have time to explain". In the "old days" All of us would have helped.
I had great times on this forum. I have made friends here and everytime I got online I just wanted to say "HI".
Forum members, remember that you are actually dealing with people here and not computers. The people have feelings and everyone has a different view on a subject.

[color:"purple"] [/color] So respect the people and treat them as you would like to be treated

"I know more than you competitive attitude".

I have tried reading and posting on some forums for the more competative games. I'm yet to see someone who's ego doesn't come first. The forums for competative games are full of unfriendly people. I know that's a gross generalisation, but I'm yet to see otherwise. Even the Deus Ex forum had some problems like that, and that's mostly single player!

Every forum I am a member of has this same attitude: Extremely helpful and willing to have some harmless fun. I can't bare to be around all the gloating on the other boards.

In addition, I'll just say - You can never step into the same river twice.
The forum is changing, as it always was.
It's in our power to make it flow and change in right direction.

Kiya, pls. come back. I miss you. I miss all those discussions we had.
Hopefully you just took some time off not to become burned out and will join us after some time relaxed and refreshed.

Thankx HEF. My experiences exactly.

I checked out other forums too. Out of curiosity, not looking for help.
And sadly enough I have to agree.
That "what, you dunno how to edit that file. You [nocando]. I might tell you, just let me feel superior for awhile." answer is what you see very often. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />
"I will help if it suits me", "I will help if it makes me look good in the eyes of the general public", "I have the reputation of being the know it all mean guy, I'm not gonna lower myself to answer you".
I tested it on forums, asking simple questions about things I already knew the answer to. When I replied, being a wise guy, giving them something to think about I got called names I won't post here.
It's a bit a reflextion of every day RL these days I guess.
But in RL there are still freinds and decent ppl.
And we also have those here.
So let's keep this forum the way it was.
pretty please? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

How about starting a thread about keeping this forum the way it was?
Just an idea. Aplace where we all stand together with our views of how this forum should be again.

Well, it's actually the second time Kiya makes a break.

The first one has been long ago.

I agree to the first post of HandEFood.

She is very sensitive, and cannot stand "bad vibes".

I cannot, too, that's why I'm rarely reading in the Englisch-language Forum-parts lately.

However, I still have the German-Language part where I can have fun. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

I think there are a ton of ppl here that are appalled by what happened...the ones that like this forum the way it used to be.
Seth, you are so right...it used to be totally friendly here, and i keep coming back to check and see if MAYBE all the useless poop has disappeared.
We all have diffrent views/beliefs...but WE DO NOT NEED TO HURT EACH OTHER!!!
So, there are some here that still want what once was - so, we all band together...
If we all agree (from what i am reading we do) then lets change it!

Another thing - what gives anybody the right to put another person down??????????
Funny coming from a vertain person in this forum anyway - who was just defending the rights of disabled people. So, you hate it when someone makes comments about them - so why not the same respect for every other person that is on this earth???????????

A wee bit contradicting/hypicrital if you as me hmmmm? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/memad.gif" alt="" />
