There has to be only one member to make a forum more 'agressive' and so. It is like that member makes a bad aura on the forum. One member has to laugh at the new members asking something what, causing that they never come back, thinking this is a forum full of [nocando].Just be friendly to the other people.

I know Alrik, I noticed that you and other German members who regularly or at least sometimes posted in the English topics are only posting in the German topics now.
With good reason. It's one of the reasons why I decided to finally post something about it.

I was also attacked in person by a kid for absolutely no reason, and I was supposed to fill my mouth with mud.
Then came a gang from another form with some of them being common here and they all had at me.
It was not a nice view to see those people’s inside turning real into rabid wolves.
I had to swing my divine sword to give them some of the pain they were giving me.
Since when does the victim become the accused, or is justice dead long ago?

We had some rotten apples here before and they did not fit in and go although that rotten apple was downvoting the Larian games on poll sites.

I wouldn’t call any other members with this strong and sever word (rotten), simply because in itself it is an insulting word and using it makes the user as bad as those whom he insults.

You can tell if an apple was “rotten” or not if it provokes you to become as worse as it is.

There is a kid on this forum that would not be restricted to insult others because he could get away with it.
Read the board rules of the Larian Forum again please.

This whole fuss is really unnecessary because the moment you get insulted all you have to do is to report the offensive post to the moderator, and if the moderator did not take decisive action immediately, things could get out of hand because we are all human after all.

The function of law is to organise such human relations, and moderators are forum police who act to enforce the law. Occasionally, the law might be a bit hazy or unclear and the offence could not cross the threshold at first but it could sneak up in magnitude. This is exactly what happened, and without enforcing the civility law a jungle war hits in.

I may not accuse DATD by such an accusation, even though he attacked me in person without any provocation from my side. After all, my opinion was that he is just a kid who is still learning manners and social interaction.
The problem was finding other adults who joined him in his aggression rather than give him good advice.
That is exactly what took the 800 x 600 to a jungle stance.

But why are you all mourning the forum as if you fail to be the good people you are!
All we need to do is to continue to be the friendly good people we are and pay more attention to intruders who mess this friendliness and report every offensive post to Lynn to take action.

I cannot think of any better solutions to enforce civility.

For an old, tired of battle professor you behave very childishly, DAD. I only saw what happened in the concerning thread until one day before it got deleted - but enough to know this was about you. Do you see what's happening here? This thread is already, again, becoming about you.

Yet you don't seem to stop and think one minute that you might have become a victim for a reason. It also doesn't seem to occur to you that you, of all people, could have prevented things getting out of hand like they did.

I find it very hard to believe everybody jumped at you to "protect a kid". Do you believe that yourself? Do you even have any idea how awfully condescending that sounds?

Victim or not, stop playing the "they started it!"-part and take some responsibility. If anyone could make a difference in making this forum civilized again, you might look at yourself, in stead of looking at everyone else and even telling Lynn to do her job. You're so proud of being the educated, civilized professor, well act like one. You could start with an apology.

this idd sad, and I don't wish to discuss this much, If she left, she had her right to. But, this are merely forums, it's even easier to ignore ppl than irl. If someone insulted me badly or something I mostly indcate them how childish it is, but if it gets worse i simply ignore the person, same about threads, It ain't difficult just to ignore a thread you don't like.

I mostly don't get into new threads unless they seem interesting from the start. If a thread gets very big, than I'll screen it quickly. If it's not a neutral thread I'll never click it again.

Soon I'll get the divine devotion back up, It will be heavely adminned NO_BS forums, for those who want to talk about random stuff wich has nothing to do with The larian games, or for those interested in story telling. I do this because These parts are indeed infested, infested to much to clean it properly. This is/was a unique board in the gaming industry talking about the atmosphere. I wish to recreate that Old Larian forums atmosphere it my forums and I WILL take steps on everything that endangers that goal.

Kiya is not the first to leave because of this, maybe some of you are used to Gaming Forums and newsgroups but that doesn't mean it's ok. I go to other forums to, where it's far from as peacefull as here, I don't run away there but I surely like what these (used) to be a lot more.

(Mslynx steps up to the podium) sigh...I too miss Kiya... I can remember the last time she left. Very well... She is one of the most intelligent,sensitive,open hearted people I have ever met. I have never seen her hesitate to offer advice or help to anyone. Including myself. I have spent whole days chatting and exchanging pictures with her when she could not sleep. There is a 5 hour difference between us, so I know there were times she was up all night, and day. Unfortunately, I read the 600x800 thread and fought tears the whole time I read it.
I saw old friends in a way I had never seen them befor. Frustrated and upset. To put it mildly.
This is not a boxing ring my friends. This IS my home away from home!!! I have always tried to treat everyone here as if they "were" in my home. Come in, sit down, take your shoes off and stay awhile! You will get nothing but fellowship and respect from me, as long as I am recieving it from you. If fighting and bickering is what is wanted, then it needs to go outside! I belive that that is what our Larians want for us also. Think of ourselves as their children if you will. They have given us this place to be out of kindness and respect. I personally LOVE them for this!! They obviously want nothing but the best for us!
We have so much to look forward to in the very near future. Because we asked ,a game is being made especially for us!!! ! We all need to step out of the mini map and take a look at the world map once again! Get our collective focus's back to where they need to be. I'm starting to agree with Kiya. If it wasn't for morbid curiosity, I'd save my energy for when this forum is more friendly. There's something in the air lately that is stirring everthing up all over the world. I have enough turmoil in my life lately without getting worked up here as well.

I don't want to avoid problems. I'm just having trouble with how out of hand they're getting.

yes, mny peole seem to have problems too. this last month or so has been very very bad, IMHO.

and I would like to just post that I am leaveing, I am to insualted here, I may or may not come back when Riftrunner comes out, or if I feel better about this forum, I just feel that certan people have insulted me too much, with many a flaming pm to me.
