retrospective: i don't think this forum can change back to exactly what it was back when in its golden days. people come & go. people change. things can never be the same.
but courtesy, respect, fellowship can still be kept & maintained. this can happen with everyone's help.
what i can think of for now is this: whenever we see our forum friends(this means every member) did something which breaks the rules, we shouldn't go & virtually shout at them & tell them they've made a boo-boo. this is where pm comes in. & because telling members that they've done wrong can be very touchy, so tread carefully. & never ever assert too much when u know it's pointless & u cannot change the mind of that particular person. just let him/her go(& i don't mean banning).
remember johnson? he did a major boo-boo but somehow we're almost as guilty as many members scolded him publically which made him act even more hostile. we require tact. & that's not an easy skill 2 learn. i'm still learning, if u must know.
& DAD, if u're reading this, i never have put u down nor have i think badly of u in whatever case. & especially for a person of your calibre, i never thought of defending u as u are very firm & clear on your standing. as if a peashooter like me can help defending a formidable mind like u. so please keep on staying in this forum & keep on posting.
for the one & only time defending DAD, this dude is obviously ex-professor who must've taught for at least 15 years(just a guess). do u think he can just kick his habit of provoking minds? like an ex-soldier who would salute his flag whenever he sees it, like an ex-policeman who would ask interrogative questions, like a smoker who without thought would draw out a cigarette & light it up. thing is most people got him wrong. u can take a professor out of his university, but u can't take the professor out of the man.
as for DATD, the dude must've a bad day/week. dude, hope u're getting better.
let's not get fazed easily & not get pissed easily as well. this is the one & possibly the only forum that i am & will be in for life as i don't have the time nor the inclination for human interaction. i want 2 cherish this long distance fellowship.
love from malaysia.
