Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Healing and Resting and Death and Such

Hi Everyone! First post here, like the game so far though I have just started. Was down in the dungeon under the first town and took some damage.

Still alive but I want to rest in a bed to heal up. However, everyone's beds in their houses tell me I best not rest there lest the owner return (hey! I wouldn't like nobody sleeping in my bed neither that I didn't know real well!).

But the game manual really doesn't talk about resting and healing that I could find. Or death for that matter.

My guess on this is I need to keep exploring the town and I will find a bed in a house that isn't occupied.

But any thoughts you have on resting, healing and what happens on death would be appreciated. Thanks!

hi! welcome to the forums, in the celler you start out in, leave one teleporter in htere, carry the other, drop the one and teleport to the house when needed to rest

There are a couple empty houses in northern Aleroth, though Joram's cellar is probably handier.
When you die, you must re-load a previous save (so save periodically, after finding great equipment or completing a quest, etc). Also, save before attempting to steal, etc.
