You have to find a weapon with frost damage <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.
Loot your shopkeaper, search around for the nobleman´s sword and or the sword of the divine. (dont´t know if these are the correct names in English; I´m using the german version)
These swords are indeed very good ones and often have frost damage. The stats of weapons go randomly, so if you find a good weapon save before taking it with you.
If the weapon does not please you, reload take it a second time and identify it once more... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />
Combination with scorpions is easy: Just attck her with frost damage, press space bar to pause the game, release scorpions, switch back to weapon and continue fighting...
